Bernard von Balve is an amazing 6 month old German Shepherd. Sweetie Bernard was surrendered to the rescue due to his owner's health reasons; he has done well with cats and a small dog. Now while this handsome boy is waiting for a new home, he has been getting raves from the rescue staff.  Bernard is a happy boy.  His tail wags wide as you get ready to take him out for a walk.  When out, he stays close and occasionally takes a step ahead to catch a new smell along the way.  Although he’s still so young, his energy level is medium.  Bernard is love bug.  He enjoys affection and getting pets all over.  He often sneaks kisses and tries to cuddle up on your lap. Around other dogs, he does great.  He enjoys pack walks and has shown good leash greet manners. He joins playgroups calm and curious and has a gentle play style when he meets up with another friendly dog. He's currently sharing space with several other dogs at the rescue, so would be a great choice for a home with another pup or two.
